About Eggy Car
Eggy Car is a driving game with a twist that makes every hill feel dangerous: there is an egg sitting on your roof, and if it falls, the game is over. The idea is simple enough to explain in one sentence, but keeping that egg in place over steep climbs, sharp crests and sudden dips takes real touch on the accelerator.
Made by Beedo Games, the Eggy Car game belongs to the family of physics-based hill-climb games. You only have two controls, forward and backward, and the challenge comes entirely from the terrain and the way the car and egg react to it. It is one of the most searched car games in the UK, and it is easy to see why: runs are quick, the cartoon style is friendly, and there is always a new distance record to chase.
How to play Eggy Car
The objective
Cover as much distance as possible without dropping the egg. Your distance is your score, so every run is a chance to beat your best.
Controls and handling
Press D or the Right arrow to drive forward, and A or the Left arrow to slow down or roll backward. The car reacts to every bump, and so does the egg. Accelerating hard up a slope tilts the car back; braking sharply on a descent tips it forward. Either can send the egg rolling.
What ends a run
A run ends when the egg falls off the car and touches the ground. There is no time limit, so patience is a valid strategy.
Progression
As you drive further, the hills become steeper and more uneven, which makes each extra metre harder to earn. Coins collected along the way give you something extra to aim for during each run.
Tips to go further in Eggy Car
- Feather the throttle. Short presses on the accelerator are safer than holding it down, especially on rough ground.
- Slow down at the top of a hill. Crests are where the egg is most likely to fly off. Arrive slowly and let gravity do the work.
- Brake gently on the way down. A sudden stop on a steep slope throws the egg forward.
- Use reverse to rescue a wobble. If the egg starts sliding backward, a light tap backward can settle it.
- Do not chase every coin. A coin on a steep slope is rarely worth the risk to your run.
- Stay calm. The best runs come from steady, boring driving, not speed.
Who will enjoy Eggy Car
Eggy Car is perfect for a quick break: it loads fast, it is easy to explain and it is very hard to put down. If you enjoy its balance-and-patience challenge, try Hill Climber, from the same studio, with fuel to manage instead of an egg.
