About Crazy Flying Car

Crazy Flying Car is a short, cheerful racing game with a twist in its title: your car has wings. Each level is a wide track suspended high in the sky, curling through the clouds with a starting gate at one end and a finish line at the other. You line up with a handful of rivals and race to the end, and at any moment you can choose to leave the track and fly.

The developer, Andrey Melnikov, sums up the choice nicely: take a risk or rely on manoeuvres. Staying on the road is safe and lets you shove other cars aside. Leaping off a bend and gliding across the gap can win the race in one move, if you land back on the track.

How to play Crazy Flying Car

Straight into the race

You do not have to click through menus. After the opening advert, the first level appears straight away with the message press any key to start and a reminder of the A and D keys. A Skins button on the right lets you change your car's appearance.

Steering

Steer left and right with A and D or the arrow keys. The car accelerates by itself, so steering is all you need to think about.

Flying

Steer off the edge of the track and the wings take over. The car glides through the air, losing height slowly. If you have aimed well, you land further along the track ahead of your rivals. If not, you drop out of sight and the level ends.

Winning

Cross the finish line in first place to complete the level and move on to the next.

Tips for winning races

  • Learn the track first. Drive a level on the road once to see where the shortcuts are.
  • Fly from the outside of a bend. Launching from the outer edge gives the most direct line across the gap.
  • Keep flights short. Long glides lose height; short hops across a corner are safer.
  • Use rivals as bumpers. On the road, pushing other cars can be quicker than steering around them.
  • Restart quickly. Levels are short, so a failed flight costs very little.

Is Crazy Flying Car a stunt game?

It sits between racing and stunts. The goal is a normal race, but the flying turns every level into a series of jumps and risky shortcuts, which is why it appears on our stunts page as well as in racing.

Your first level

Drive the first level entirely on the road. It shows you where the track bends sharply enough for a flight to save time, and how quickly the car loses height once it leaves the edge.

Are there other cars to unlock?

Yes. A Skins button on the start screen lets you change the look of your car.
